Does this spray work as a repellent?

Six Feet Under is a great two-edged sword against bugs: it kills on contact, and keeps unwanted critters away for up to 30 days!

To kill on contact, use the spray function to aim and shoot from up to several feet away.

To keep bugs away from a particular area, use the mist function on porous surfaces to repel bugs for up to 30 days. We recommend targeting areas where insects may be entering your home, such as around baseboards, door and window frames, and in pantry cracks and crevices.

Six Feet Under is NOT recommended for use on skin.

How quickly does Six Feet Under act?

The amount of time it takes for an insect to die will depend on the species of insect. Some, like sugar ants, will die almost instantly whereas cockroaches can take up to a minute to die, because of their hard protective exterior.

If an insect has a hard exterior or hair on their body it may take longer for Six Feet Under to permeate their body, but rest assured: it will still kill them.*

*Please note: Spiders are NOT insects. Due to their physiological design, Six Feet Under is not as effective on spiders and other arachnids. It can take up to 10 minutes to affect some species.

What is the shelf life of Six Feet Under?

Six Feet Under has a two-year shelf life when stored as directed in a cool, dark place. Check the product box and insert for more details.

How do I use Six Feet Under on fabrics?

While this is not it's primary purpose, Dr Killigan's Six Feet Under kill-on-contact spray can be used on fabrics, whether they are clothes, carpets or other textiles around the home.

Before using Six Feet Under on clothing, we recommend either:

Washing your clothes in scalding hot water
Freezing your clothes for 48 hours (especially if washing in hot water is not an option)

However, if neither of these are an option, here is how you can use Six Feet Under on fabrics:

Before proceeding, test each new piece of fabric or textile to ensure the spray will not damage it. We recommend spraying a small amount on an inconspicuous spot, and allowing it to dry, before spraying across the entire piece.
Once you're sure the spray can be used without damaging your fabric, spread it out so that all sides are as flat and exposed as possible.
Spray a fine mist of Six Feet Under over all surfaces of the fabric. Hang to dry, and then return to its usual space.
Allow the item to remain undisturbed for as long as possible after application, to ensure effectiveness. The ideal rest time is one week without use, however, if this is not possible, at least 24 hours.

Does Six Feet Under kill bed bugs?

Six Feet Under does kill bed bugs, but it is not a long-term solution for infestations. For more details, and some recommendations on how to deal with them, check out Dr. Killigan's article on bed bugs.

Is Six Feet Under safe for kids, pets and plants?

Dr Killigan takes pride in using only the safest ingredients - many of which can be found in most pantries across the USA.
