What are the accessories and how do I use them?

The kit includes a funnel to easily fill it with fine powders like Dr. Killigan's Dust to Dust Plant-Powered Insect Powder and diatomaceous earth, which often clump. To help keep the powder flowing smoothly, a steel ball is added inside the applicator to break up clumps when shaken. For reaching difficult spots, flexible tubing and a brass extension rod are provided. Attach the tubing to navigate corners and the extension rod for crevices, easily connecting it to the applicator for extended reach.

How do I use the bulb duster?

To use the bulb duster, fill it up to three-quarters full with your chosen insecticide powder. Ensure the steel ball is inside to break up any clumps. Shake the duster well before using, similar to a spray paint can. For application, select either the short or long brass dispenser based on the infestation area. For difficult-to-reach spots, attach the vinyl tubing to the dispenser. Aim at the dispenser at your target area and squeeze the bulb.

How do insect powders work?

Insect powders will rid your home of insects including fleas, ants, cockroaches and bedbugs by dehydrating insects rather than killing them with insecticidal toxins. That said, it takes time for the dehydration process to take place. Insect powders typically are not "dead on contact" solutions, but they are very effective. We recommend allowing up to 48 hours for the powders to take effect. Insect powders can cause lung irritation if inhaled, so please use a mask when dispersing the powder.

How do I use the bulb duster to get rid of fleas?

To reduce the flea circus on your cats and dogs, dust their beds Dr. Killigan’s Dust to Dust or diatomaceous earth 1-2 times per month. You can apply either of these powders directly onto your pets, but be sure to do so in a well-ventilated area. Rub the powder deep into their fur, and avoid their eyes and nose. If they have any negative skin reactions, discontinue use.

How do I use the bulb duster to get rid of roaches and ants?

To rid your home of cockroaches (arguably the most objectionable insect known to man), squeeze a thin line of Dr. Killigan’s Dust to Dust or diatomaceous earth along the back wall inside your cupboards and pantry. If your top cupboards are not flush with the ceiling, apply the powder along the crevice against the wall. Pull your refrigerator out from the wall and apply behind and under the refrigerator (most refrigerators have wheels and can easily be rolled away from the wall). Squeeze some powder along the wall under the sink.
